Ways to support
Shoemakers is a museum about people, community, and change - told through the stories of Clarks, and those who walked in their shoes. Find out how you can help to open this brand-new Somerset visitor experience – bringing the sole back to Somerset and celebrating a unique period in British manufacturing history.

MAKE A DONATION
Help us cross the finishing line. The new museum building is complete with four permanent exhibitions, an education and community space, library and research rooms, café and shop. We have an exciting programme of events, education and outreach planned. With your support we can furnish these community spaces, put the finishing touches to our display cases, develop educational resources, landscape our beautiful gardens and orchard with dedicated wildlife areas, and provide seating and spaces for peaceful reflection and for out and out fun!
Every contribution is a leap forward taking us closer to welcoming you to visit this Autumn!
We need your support and as a thankyou donors will be offered a chance of an annual or lifetime membership.

Any legacy, no matter the size will make a difference ensuring that Shoemakers Museum can continue sharing the stories for generations to come.
Leaving a gift in your will is a very personal and important decision and we are here to help. If you choose to the leave us a gift, please let us know.

DONATE AN ITEM
The Trust can only accept new objects into the collection in very exceptional cases. Items for display in the Shoemakers Museum have already been chosen, so we cannot include new items in the permanent exhibitions. We have many more objects in the archive collection and handling collection which are used by researchers and members of the public. If you have an item you want to share you are welcome to contact us.
